Getting Around...

Transportation

Route 15 (Mineral Spring Ave.) runs east to west across North Providence. Mineral Spring is the retail, dining and nightlife “center” of the city. It connects to Route 44 in Centerdale and 146 before Pawtucket.

Route 7 (Douglas Ave.) Similar to Route 44, Route 7 runs south into Providence or north into Lincoln and Smithfield, and it connects to I-295.

Route 146 main highway runs directly through the eastern portion of North Providence and connects to Mineral Spring Avenue. Route 146 is the quickest way to travel into Downtown Providence or reach I-95 for further travel.

Route 44 (Smith Street) is the quickest way to reach I-295 and it connects North Providence to the Elmhurst neighborhood of Providence (where Providence College and Rhode Island College are located).
